Clenaghan’s

Head chef and new owner William Johnson has brought new life to this 18th century traditional stone building. It opened in December 2021 in-between lockdowns and their well thought out ‘Best of Local’ menu has been a huge success.

Clenaghan’s Restaurant prides itself in displaying the best produce from across the whole of Ireland including locally grown organic vegetables and Irish sourced meat and fish, cooked to an exceptional level in comfortable surroundings with big open fires and one-of-a-kind artifacts covering the interior.

The traditional Irish menu changes with each season, everyone is catered for with menus to suit vegetarians, vegans, celiac, children and if you do not find something suitable the kitchen will endeavour to create a dish to your needs.

The Ala Carte menu consists of snacks like chicken wings and monkfish cheeks for those wishing to start light. Starters include dishes such as salt baked beetroot and goats cheese tart or scallops. An excellent choice of main courses offering the best of seasonal meats with stalwarts such as cote de boeuf, a selection of steaks and  corn-fed chicken dishes readily available to make your taste buds dance.

The menu changes seasonally but you get the idea. Layers of flavour are built up in unexpected combinations that really work. Definitely a must visit!

On a Thursday night you will find an Irish traditional band playing in the front room from 9pm.

Clenaghan’s Restaurant also offers a special midweek lunch menu from 1pm-4pm followed by 2 for 1 cocktails between 4pm-6pm Wednesday to Friday.
