Armagh is the Orchard County where the Armagh Bramley reigns supreme. This
apple has Protected Name Status. The folk at Macha’s Orchard use them to make a
unique Armagh Bramley Apple powder from small apples or the peel and core which
are discarded. This is a health product.

They also make apple juice from local dessert apples and also a special type of
Bramley Apple juice. They also have derivates of these products combined with
herbs and spices all with an emphasis on health products from Armagh.

They are a social enterprise with Richmount Rural Community Association Ltd as
their parent organisation. They have won an area Go Succeed Ultimate Pitch award.

The 2025 best new Rural Start up in the Social Enterprise NI awards and they are
currently a finalist in the 2026 Rural Enterprise Countryside Alliance Awards.
