Finnebrogue is part of the Sofina Food Group, and one of the UK and Ireland’s most innovative
food producers. The Downpatrick site made its name producing premium sausages for leading
retailer, before launching its revolutionary Naked Bacon, made without nitrites, in 2018.
Finnebrogue’s Naked Bacon is the first mass produced rasher to be made without nitrites, a
curing chemical linked to cancer by the World Health Organisation. This successful breakthrough
in nitrites has seen Finnebrogue Naked Bacon become one of the UK’s leading bacon brands.
Finnebrogue has received multiple awards and nationwide acclaim for its sausages, bacon,
burgers and ham, as well as seasonal items like pigs-in-blankets and flavoured stuffings.
As part of the Sofina Food Group, Finnebrogue benefits from a vertically integrated supply chain,
helping ensure quality and consistency from farm to finished product.
