Bakari Bakery
Bakari is a family-run artisan bakery. Their main focus is baking sourdough and pastries.
Inspired by Scandinavian baking traditions, they strive to bring customers delicious baked goods using local, organic ingredients where possible and imported organic where necessary. They do freshly-made in-house sandwiches for lunch time on weekdays. The menu changes every season, inspired by/utilising what’s fresh that season.
Some of the suppliers they use across the North and South include The Secret Market, Counter Culture, Established, White Star, Exemplar, Orr’s Butchers, Steeper Culture, McDaid’s, Corndale Farm, Shorthorn Sauces, Tacacucina, The Mallow Makers, Dale Farm, Manna Heritage Mill, Irish Organic Mill, Dunany, Bean & Goose, The OC, Chapel Lane, Harry’s Nut Butter, SUKI and Summerhill Honey. Wholesale customers include McMullan’s, Fayre, Nature’s Way, Larder East, Angus Farm Shop and Lightfoot.
They supply several restaurants such as Six by Nico, Capparelli, Boardwalk, The Nines, Dream Coffee, Guillemot, Parklife, Established, Hjem, Nine Squared, Cafe Smart, Native Coffee, Bullitt/Tetto, Hey Darlin’, The Pocket, 2Taps, Brew & Bake, Dark Horse, Source Grow, 631, Noble, The Portside Inn and Coan. Making a positive impact through food has always seemed like a no-brainer to them.
If you can offer someone a loaf of bread made with organic grains, grown in Ireland, that has a long fermentation which makes it good for your guts and fully nutritious, and do that at an affordable price then what’s not to like?
