Tucked away on the peaceful shore of Strangford Lough, not far from Comber, the Kingfisher Kitchen at WWT Castle Espie Wetland Centre is a true hidden gem. With uninterrupted views across the reserve’s lake towards Scrabo Tower, it’s the perfect place to pause and soak in the scenery.

Open seven days a week from 10am to 4pm, we serve up a delicious selection of home-cooked breakfasts and light lunches.

Pair your meal with our carefully selected fair-trade coffees and teas, or choose from a range of refreshing soft drinks. And don’t miss our selection of homemade scones and tray bakes -perfect for a sweet treat.

We’ve made sure the Kingfisher Kitchen is welcoming for families, with children’s menu options, child-friendly facilities, a soft play area, and plenty of space for buggies.

After your visit to the café, why not unwind in our Sensory Garden or take in the latest local art at the Castle Espie Gallery -both free to access.
