Hendriks Pasta Workshop

Slowfood NI Food Connections Series ‘Learn to Make Pasta Together’ at The Narrows Social, Portaferry with Hendrik Denneymeyer a Chef and Organic Gardener.

This will take place on Saturday 29th November 2014, 10.30am – 3.30pm

Price – £ 60 for adult and youngster

Activities include:

• 1 day’s tuition with a professional chef

• Coffee and fresh made Italian sweets to start your day,

• Pasta Lunch with Wine

• All ingredient’s supplied to include Italian and Doves Farm pasta flour

• Recipes from the day.

Learn the basics of pasta making, shaping and cooking. Learn to make pasta dough from scratch, how to use natural ingredients to dye the pasta dough, how to use a pasta machine, how to shape pasta, how to make ravioli and how to make basic pasta sauces. Participants will enjoy the different types of pasta for lunch and try different sauces with seasonal toppings. Hendrik Dennemeyer is a freelance chef based in Belfast. Inspired by cooking seasonal food, he worked for Root & Branch Organic developing street food and quality organic food for events such as Gig in A Park and Culture Nights. Hendrik was recently guest chef cooking for a Schumacher course in Fermanagh.
