Dale Farm Chief to address NIIAS Winter Fair breakfast

Mr Nick Whelan, Group Chief Executive of Dale Farm will address delegates at the Northern Ireland Institute of Agriculture Science (NIIAS) breakfast before the RUAS Winter Fair on Thursday 8th December 2016 at 7.30am in Gowdy’s of Down Royal, Lisburn. His topic will be ‘Brexit: Risk or Reward’.

nickwhelandalefarmMr Whelan took up his appointment as Group Chief Executive of Dale Farm on 1st August 2016. He graduated from University College Cork in 1995, with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Following this he held senior management positions in the Kerry Group from 1995 – 2006. Previous to his appointment to Dale Farm, he was Commercial Director in Glanbia with responsibilities for sales, marketing and business development activities into 60 countries globally.

Speaking ahead of the event, Louise Millsopp, Chair of NIIAS said ‘we are delighted to have Nick address the Institute. At a time when our dairy industry has sustained a prolonged period of low milk prices and the recent decision for the UK to leave the European Union, it is very opportune that we hear from one of the key players within our agri-food industry.

The event has been kindly sponsored by Devenish and Ulster Bank. A light breakfast will be served from 7.30am with Mr Whelan speaking at 8am, followed by a question and answer session. The event is open to NIIAS Members and Non-Members. The cost for Members is £15, Non-Members £20 and Students £5.
