Comber Earlies Arrive Late at Comber Farmers’ Market

The first crop of Comber Earlies will be on sale at Comber Farmer’s Market tomorrow, Thursday 4 June 2015, 9.00pm -1.30pm,  St Mary’s Parish Church Car Park, the Square, Comber.  Due to the recent spell of cold weather, these lovely little papery skinned jewels are late this year and are only starting to be dug up by local farmers.

The best way to eat Comber Earlies is simply to scrub them well,  boil or steam  for about 15 – 20 minutes, dollop with butter and season with salt and pepper.

There are also lots of bedding plants, unusual perennials for your garden borders, hanging baskets and beautiful scented cut flowers at very good prices

Check out www.combermarket.co.uk to see the full range of traders who will be visiting the market tomorrow.
