RAI All-Island Wins for Taste of Ulster Members

Several Taste of Ulster members have been given top accolades at the Restaurant Association of Ireland all-island awards ceremony in Dublin on Monday 15th May, 2023.


Ian Orr from Browns Bonds Hill was named Best Chef in Ulster. The award represents the chef who demonstrates an immense passion for food, superior knowledge of the culinary arts and skills in the kitchen. Best Casual Dining in Ulster was won by Edo in Belfast. The award recognizes top quality food, service and hospitality in a relaxed and casual environment.


Roam, also in Belfast, won Best Newcomer in Ulster. This award was given to the best establishment that has been in operation for fewer than 18 months. Wine and Brine in Moira won Best Wine Experience in Ulster while Killeavy Castle Estate took the Best Sustainable Practices in Ulster award.


More than 1200 guests gathered for the ceremony at the Burlington Hotel.
