THE MERCHANT Hotel’s Adrian McLaughlin; Michael McQuillan, the streat; Andy Rea, Mourne Seafood Bar and Nutritional Therapist, Jane McClenaghan, have just been announced as keynote speakers for NI’s biggest trade event for the food, drink, retail and hospitality sectors – IFEX 2012 – taking place at the King’s Hall, Belfast.

With all of the right ingredients to help visitors discover new products and business solutions,  and to help exhibitors generate new business, IFEX 2012 will be a three-day mecca for the 4,500 expected visitors from the  hospitality, food, drink and retail industries.

The sizzling line-up of speakers for the biennial event includes leading lights in the industry who will be speaking on hot industry trends and issues.  Adrian McLaughlin will be sharing top tips for hoteliers on how The Merchant Hotel has risen to become the star of the hospitality world, beingnamed ‘Best UK Hotel’ at the inaugural International Hotel Awards. Michael McQuillan, Founder of the streat, will be speaking on world class customer service and Mourne Seafood Bar’s Andy Reawill be presenting on the latest craze of pop-up restaurants.

“Establishing the HOME pop-up restaurant last year has provided me with lots of insight and experience, and I’ll be sharing my advice with other restaurateurs at my seminar at IFEX. Times are changing; consumers now want innovative ways to dine out and new experiences.  With less disposable income available, it’s imperative that we continually progress to attract custom; however one thing that will never change is that people pay for, and rightly expect, excellent quality,”states Andy Rea.

He continues: “I’m delivering a seminar at IFEX as the show is fundamental to the development of our hospitality industry in NI. Hundreds of young chefs attend, and I’m hoping that I can inspire them as well as share some insight from my experiences to other restaurateurs.”

Also joining the seminar line up is Michael Deane, Louise Murphy – Editor of Hospitality Review NI, Mintel, the Food Standards Agency, former builder turned baker – Simon Stenson and media expert, Rob Morrison amongst others.

The full seminar programme is available on www.easyfairs.com/IFEX.

Whether you’re a chef, publican, hotelier, retailer, distributor, buyer, restaurateur or catering manager, and everything in between, IFEX is the biennial must-attend show for the industry.
