At the very heart of the spectacular Causeway Coast and Glens the communities of Ballycastle and Rathlin Island would like to extend a very warm welcome and would like to invite you to come along and join in and help celebrate our rich and diverse maritime culture during the Rathlin Sound Maritime Festival.

From the adrenaline rush of the Sailing Regatta and races as well as exciting have a go activities, to tempting food and craft markets, seriously scenic guided walks, exciting and informative talks and tours, exhibitions and demonstrations, fun competitions, friendly giants, currach, Tall ship and Viking ships, there’s plenty to choose from including fantastic family friendly events.

The popular Naturally North Coast & Glens market offers a stage for exceptional local produce and handcrafted items, wrapped together in the dynamic community event of the Rathlin Sound Maritime Festival on Saturday 27, Sunday 28 and Monday 29 May from 11am – 6pm.

The Market is known for its great selection of produce, variety of knowledgeable, friendly traders, all eager to share their stories, and never happier then when they are talking about what they have made.

A day at the market will affect every one of your senses, with new sights, sounds, smells, tastes and textures from a diverse mix of local produce, crafts and art for sale.  Including some of the very finest, mouth watering foods, unusual, quirky, intricate crafts and exquisite art. The market over the festival days has a strong maritime theme, featuring seafood, and appropriately themed arts and crafts along with some of the usual favorites!

You’ll be amazed at the quality of our local produce and handcrafted goods. It’s a treat for all the family!

The festival will also see the return of the Ulster Chowder Cook Off on Monday 29 in the Cookery Theatre celebrating Northern Ireland’s fabulous sea food and skilled local chefs.
