Hillsborough Farmers’ Market runs on the last Saturday of the month during summer 2017 and brings together the very best local, seasonal and artisan food to Hillsborough’s doorstep. Funded by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council they are being held along Dark Walk Lane, which is the tree lined avenue leading to The Fort from Main Street in Hillsborough Village.

Each market will have a slightly different flavour featuring the diverse mix of quality fresh, local and seasonal foods you would expect to find at a farmers’ market. With upwards of 35 primary and artisan producers taking part over the 3 dates, you can prepare your shopping lists to include seasonal vegetables, speciality meats, artisan cheeses, breads, cakes, chutneys, jams, and charcuterie. Saturday morning coffee fixes and brunch will be catered for by the street food vendors in attendance – with the promise that all will all be served with a dollop of fun!

With all tastes and dietary needs catered for whether vegan, gluten or dairy free, the sociable vibe among traders and visitors creates a very pleasant buzz and is a lovely way spend a couple of hours on a Saturday.
