Food NI are sponsoring the Agri food business of the year Award as part of the inaugural Farming Life and Northern Bank Agriculture awards. The awards are being run by Farming Life, and they will culminate in a prestigious awards ceremony in the autumn that will celebrate excellence in farming in Northern Ireland.

The awards are divided into three sections, Farming awards, Business Awards and Special Recognition Awards.  The award we would like to draw to your attention is the Agri- food Business of the year Award.

The Agri-Food Business of the Year criteria:
All businesses in the argi-food sector are eligible to enter including food manufacturers and food retailers. Awards will be made at a county level with one overall Regional Winner.
•    Entrants should provide a short description of their business including marketing strategy, product, innovation, turnover growth and employment levels.
•    Entrants should demonstrate how they use provenance to promote their business, future growth plans and how they stand out from the competition.

It is important to note that Farming Life will be selecting entrants to feature in articles in Farming Life prior to the awards and the winners will receive substantial coverage afterwards. We highly recommend all members consider partaking in this competition as it is a great opportunity to promote your products, increase your company profile and showcase your achievements.

The closing date for the competition is now the 15th of August.

If you decide to enter please send Food NI 500 words on a positive/aspect of your company for a mini press release. Food NI will then forward it onto Farming Life for an edition in their paper.
