A Taste of Greyabbey is an opportunity to enjoy a unique foodie experience on the shores of beautiful Strangford Lough. This event takes on the theme of ‘Herbs, Spices & Botanicals’ based on the rich food heritage of the area that began with the Cistercian Monks who built the Abbey in the 12th Century.
This guided food tour begins at the physic garden in the grounds of the Grey Abbey itself with a short talk on the use of herbs used for medicines and cooking before moving on to a four course dinner taking in Lekker, Tuk Tuk Asian Bistro, Alchemy and ending at the historic Wildfowler Inn with their autumn platter, local ales and evening entertainment.
Note this event is strictly over 18’s only. Booking essential.
Meeting point: Grey Abbey physic gardens at 6.15pm.
Please note there will be a short walk between eateries, please dress appropriately.
