Dungannon-based Natural Umber, a multi-award-winning producer of healthy organic apple cider vinegar, is offering shoppers here the opportunity to join celebrations to mark the 74th birthday of founder and managing director of the family business Michael Mackle.
Michael, among the best-known and most respected personalities in the vibrant cider industry in the UK and Ireland, continues to drive sales of the unique Natural Umber drink he launched after five years of product innovation. The ACV subsequently won a host of UK Great Taste Awards and Blas na hEireann Irish National Food and Drink Awards
The Tyrone business, a FoodNI member, is offering a seven percent discount on purchase of its ACV as part of the birthday celebrations for the popular founder.
The Mackle family, has been producing apples in the UK and Ireland for over 70 years.
“Bramley apples are in our veins and every bottle of Natural Umber is crafted from the finest and fruitiest apples, with generations of expertise behind the harvest,” says Luke Mackle, Michael’s son.
“Our own orchards make up over 350 acres of cropping apples, making us one of the largest growers in the UK and Ireland. That experience shapes everything we do – from selecting the right apples to how we press and bottle it in our factory in Moy, County Tyrone.
“Several years of trials have led to the creation of our fresh, naturally sweet tasting apple cider vinegar,” adds Luke. Key UK retailers include Marks and Spencer.
