Northern Ireland

The weeklong celebration of Lisburn and Castlereagh’s culinary heroes begins on Saturday 29th October and wraps up on 5th November. Bringing together restaurants, cafés and gastropubs, Treat Week will deliver one off food and drink experiences in Northern Ireland’s Year of Food & Drink. Some events are detailed below but for a full rundown go to www.visitlisburncastlereagh.com/events/treat-week.

Halloween Fest at Inns Market
Halloween Fest at Inns Market launches Treat Week with a special themed market on Saturday 29th October from 10am-2pm. The market will feature its usual mix of local, seasonal and artisan producers along with cooking demos by Stevie Higginson and Stephen Jeffers, with Sarah McGreechan from Sarah’s World Fare sharing tips on meat free and vegan cooking. Fancy dress is encouraged with family fun in the form of story-telling, potato printing, balloon modelling and of course face painting to complete those costumes!

Kitchen Sessions & Meet the Producers Fair
Kitchen Sessions & Meet the Producers Fair is the perfect excuse to get your weekly food shop off to a good start and take in some chilled Saturday afternoon vibes. Lisburn Square will play host to local meat, dairy and vegetable farmers and small batch artisan producers. Top local chefs will provide inspiration for dishes you can easily create at home in the Kitchen Sessions. With family fun, live music, street food and artisan coffee, there is something to keep big and small happy.

Some Highlights
From Pop Up Chef Tables at Forestside Cookery School to Special Gourmet Evenings in Lisburn, Treat Week promises to deliver something to sink your teeth into across Lisburn and Castlereagh.
