In recognition of our unique food culture, Food NI wants you to vote for your favourite product. This will determine the winner of the People’s Choice Category at the 2011 Northern Ireland Food and Drink Association Awards, which are taking place on Friday 25th March 2011.
Food NI Chief Executive Michele Shirlow has said, “Northern Ireland produces so many high quality products that we want to know what the public here simply could not live without. In the 2009 Peoples Choice, over 2000 consumers voted for their favourite, and Nutty Krust came out on top! This year, a wide selection of Northern Ireland produce is up for this award and we hope the public show their support and tell us what they love best at www.nigoodfood.com. A winner will be chosen to receive an exciting Northern Ireland Food Hamper full of excellent local food and drink!”
So which food item could you simply not live without? Causeway Prime succulent sirloin steak or Moy Park fresh whole chicken? Is Cloughbane Farm Shop Chicken and Broccoli bake incomplete without Mash Direct Potato Cakes, or do you find it hard to resist Hoys Farmhouse Sticky Honeycomb Ice cream for dessert? Can you resist the ‘sizzle’ of Cookstown sausages or the fresh taste of Glenarm Organic Salmon? Or can you even dream of mashed potatoes or Irwin’s Nutty Krust without Dromona Butter?
For breakfast lovers, maybe it’s White’s Speedicook Porridge with Broom Cottage Honey? Your firm favourite might a good cup of Suki Earl Grey Blue Flower Tea, or for those who prefer a tipple, perhaps Boozeberries Liqueur.
Whatever your taste, voice your opinion and be in with the chance of winning our exciting NI Luxury Food Hamper bursting with local products. Vote online at www.nigoodfood.com/survey. We want to hear from you so tell us what your taste buds are saying!!
