The Great Belfast Food Weekend

Last weekend,Saturday 26th-Sunday 27th March, saw the return of the hugely successful ‘Great Belfast Food Weekend’ held at St Georges Market, Belfast.

Ulster people were given food for thought as they flocked to the event where they were treated to demonstrations highlighting all that is good about local food, its producers and all those involved in bringing it from field to our fork and from the trawlers to our tables.

This years event brought a taste of the sea to the land by featuring sea vegetables, fresh local fish and our world famous dulse, as well as locally produced beef and other home grown produce.

Top local chefs Nick Price, Niall McKenna and Phil Rodgers gave cookery demonstrations to show visitors how to make some of their tasty sea food recipes using fresh local sea vegetables and fish.
