This weekend sees the return of the Tesco Taste Northern Ireland Food and Drink Festival. The Festival has successfully operated in previous years showcasing local sourced produce. This year is no different, featuring over 60 finest local food and drink producers. The festival event is being held at Belfast’s Custom House Square on Saturday 10th September from 10 – 6pm and Sunday 11th September  from 10- 5pm.

This two day event is open to the public and is free of charge. There are various activities for visitors including sampling of foods, cooking demonstrations using local produce and the opportunity to meet the people behind the branded names face to face. This is a great day out for families, with a kid’s zone entertaining them with various practical activities including cookery workshops, games and competitions.

The activities will help educate the children about local food and reinforce healthy eating messages.

Food NI members that are suppliers of Tesco, will be actively involved during the two day Tesco Taste Northern Ireland festival displaying their local produce. The festival promotes the excellence and quality of local products. Why not come along and meet the people behind these brands? 

In addition Dale Farm have organised a Kids Zone to keep the little ones entertained while your off sampling the local produce  or watching cooking demonstrations. Whatever you do at the festival be sure to say hello to our members including: Dale Farm, Irwins, Moypark, Cookstown and Mash Direct!

Food NI is delighted to be participating in this event, and has a large stand presenting a selection of quality non suppliers of Tesco including: Mac Armagh Cider, DJ’s Juice and Cider, Baked in Belfast and Amber Oils.
