Café Cuan

This central Belfast café is all about comfort food, cooked fresh in-house. Owned by husband and wife team, Barbara and JP Whearty, they major on great coffee and scrummy street-style food like Nachos, Salads, Gourmet Sandwiches, Subs and Brioche Buns.

The sandwiches are super delicious and the big portion sizes mean you won’t go hungry! One of their bestsellers is ‘The Boss’ – their handmade in-house beef and sausage meatballs, slathered with Cuan’s spicy tomato sauce and melted mozzarella, served on their signature Belfast sub roll from Kirk’s Home Bakery.

Kirk’s Bakery also supply the Brioche Buns for their Cuan Classic rolls like their Dirt Bird. It has lots of local ingredients like Roasted Irish Chicken, Buchanan’s Bacon, Dromona Cheddar, Beef Tomato and Crispy Onions.

The bakery send their sweet treats too, cos you always have to leave some room for dessert! Don’t forgot a cup of Thompson’s Tea, or a Hot Chocolate if you don’t feel like a coffee or a cold drink.

If you can’t get there in person, why not order a delivery from the Q-KANGAROO app? Simples!

Watch out their new place, Arden’s in Whitehead. They tell us they plan to do the whole farm to fork thing very soon!
