Baked Apples

Remember! Be careful to check that kids (and adults) making this recipe do not have a nut allergy!

Main Ingredients
  • 4 eating apples (wrinkly skin works best)
  • 100g mixed fruit and nuts (sultanas, pumpkin seeds, pecan nuts etc)
  • 2 dessert spoons of maple syrup
  • Knob of butter

Main Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180oC Gas Mark 4
  2. Core the apples, in the space fill with mixed fruit and nuts and pour over the syrup
  3. Place the apples in a heat proof dish, top each with butter
  4. Cover and cook for about 30mins
  5. Serve with yoghurt, cream or ice cream
