American Style Pancakes

American Style Pancakes with choice of Moyallon Dry Cured Bacon & Maple Syrup or Armagh Bramley apple compote and Clandeboye Yogurt

Main Ingredients
  • 4 Eggs
  • 250g Self Raising Flour
  • 300mls Semi Skimmed milk
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Pinch caster Sugar
  • 8 rashers of Moyallon Back Bacon
  • 50mls Maple Syrup
  • For an healthy option try with some Bramley Apple compote and Clandeboye Yoghurt
  • 1 Bramley Apple
  • 1 tub Clandeboye Yoghurt
  • 50mls water
  • 50g caster sugar

Main Instructions
  1. Separate eggs, placing yolks with the flour and whites in a clean Bowl
  2. Whisk whites until soft peaks and set aside
  3. Make batter with flour, yolks, milk, salt and sugar.
  4. Gently fold egg whites into batter, let rest for five minutes
  5. Tray bacon on a tray care not to overlap and grill until crispy
  6. Heat a non stick pan, rub with vegetable oil, gently spoon batter into pan, once holes form flip over and cook for a further minute, pancakes are ready
  7. If making the healthy option
  8. Wash & Peel Apples, dice place into a pot add water, sugar and simmer until apple is soft.Serve with Clandeboye Yoghurt
