At Out There Eggs, they have been quietly providing their local community in the lush pastures of the Glens of Antrim with fresh, free range eggs since 1997.
Eggs are a natural food, so they do their best to respect and encourage the natural behaviour of the hens. That’s why they house their hens in a way that makes it easier for them to explore their environment, which they have made a bit more interesting with the help of the Woodland Trust. Over the last 18 months they have helped them to plant a wood of native trees where the hens have the space and shade to range and forage outside.
With a generous investment, a new high capacity packing plant that can process 20,000 eggs per hour and a determination to get Out There Eggs…well, out there, their business is going from strength to strength.
Out There Eggs is located in Glenballyeamon, one of the famous nine Glens of Antrim. Their valley is one of the most beautiful in the North Coast, in fact, it’s a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so they do our best to take care of it. Because if their hens are happy, then they are happy.
