The Northern Ireland cookery school scene will take a stirring this week when Lizzie’s Kitchen re-opens its doors. Lizzie’s Kitchen, owned by experienced and expert chef Lizzie Kennedy, will offer easy to cook recipes for the novice and challenge those looking for inspiration in a relaxed environment amidst the stunning countryside of Drumbo.
Trend setting Lizzie kick started the Northern Ireland Cookery School scene in 2002 when she opened the first ever in Northern Ireland called Who’s Cooking. She ran the successful school up until 2006 before she left for the U.S.
Lizzie’s Kitchen opened last year but closed three months ago to allow for the fantastic refurbishment. The school is unique in that you cook in an area that feels and looks like an extension to Lizzie’s own kitchen. Bright, sunny and with stunning views over Belfast you are inspired to try something new and delicious using fresh, locally sourced produce.
Looking forward to the re-opening Lizzie Kennedy said:
“ I am so excited to be re-opening Lizzie’s Kitchen. The new and improved cookery school has been designed to make people feel relaxed, inspired and importantly instil confidence in them to cook. My approach is simple, down to earth cooking in an environment that feels like your home. The classes are small and can be tailored to suit all levels of experience. I am also delighted to welcome private or corporate groups who want a bit of fun or a challenge.”
A Cordon Bleu trained chef from the renowned Tante Marie School, Lizzie has cooked and entertained for some of the world’s renowned diplomats.
