Flavour, Northern Ireland’s NEW glossy magazine for all things food and drink launches this Sunday 7th August with a fun, prize-filled event at St. George’s Market, Belfast, 11am – 4pm.
The ‘craic’ will be mighty this Sunday at St George’s Market as May McFettridge takes a tour of what’s what and dons her apron to cook in the kitchen with chef Stephen Jeffers (Jeffers on the Marina). In the other corner (we mean kitchen), we’ll have chef Noel McMeel of Lough Erne Resort, partnering with a member of the audience. Which team will create the most mouth-watering taste of Northern Ireland? Nick Price of Nick’s Warehouse, Kathy Jensen of Flavour magazine and you – the audience – will decide!
That’s not all! We’ll also have chefs Wendy Donaldson and Ray Malcolmson taking on the challenge of Cook Against the Clock – with only 30 minutes to see how many hungry visitors to St George’s Sunday market can be fed a morsel.
The prizes to be won on the day have got to be the star attraction! Fancy a two-night break, with dinner in lovely Fermanagh? That’s what one lucky contestant will win, courtesy of the Killyhevlin Hotel. There there’s a year’s supply of Tayto Cheese ‘n’ Onion, an overnight stay at the Dunadry, with dinner in the Irish Restaurant Association award-winning Mill Race Restaurant, get healthy with a scrumptious hamper from Forest Feast, dine in style with dinner for four in The Mitre Restaurant at The Culloden, drink tea for a year courtesy of Punjana Tea, or enjoy an early dinner for four at The Kitchen Bar, followed by the latest release in the cinema. Yes, the prizes are all there to be won at St George’s Market this Sunday.
Don’t miss the fun, join Flavour this Sunday, 7th August at St George’s Market, Belfast, 11am to 4pm. See you then!
