Vegetable Kebabs

Fruit and vegetables are so important for people of all ages – but especially young children.  They provide a good source of Vitamin C which is essential to protect the body against infections and play a vital role on looking after our bones and teeth.
We can get lots of other vitamins from fruit and vegetables too, such as Vitamin A, B and E as well as fibre and antioxidants to give the body a boost.


Firstly – ask an adult to help you cook the kebabs!

You will need:
• Metal skewers
• 1 onion
• 1 red pepper
• 1 green pepper
• Mushrooms
• 1 carrot
• Small corn cobs
• Tomatoes


Method:
• Wash and peel the vegetables and cut into chunks
• Place vegetables onto a skewer and cook under the grill for four to five minutes until cooked
• Dip your kebab in some sweet chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, barbeque sauce or mayonnaise!
