Chocolate Walnut Brownies

Ingredients:
• 175g self raising flour, sifted
• 2tbsp drinking chocolate
• 100g margarine, melted
• 1tsp vanilla extract
• 50g brown sugar
• 1tbsp white wine vinegar
• 50g chopped walnuts


Method:
• Preheat oven to gas mark 4 / 180oC
• Line an 8 inch square tin with non-stick baking parchment
• Place the flour, salt, drinking chocolate and sugar in a large bowl and stir to combine
• Add the margarine, vinegar, vanilla essence, walnuts and 200ml of cold water.  Beat well to make sure no lumps are left
• Tip into baking tin and bake for 25 minutes before slicing into squares
• Cool on a wire rack

 

Expert Tip:  Serve with some delcious Northern Irish Ice Cream or Whipped Cream and fresh strawberries!
