Taste of Ulster is growing!
We are Taste of Ulster. We're all about showcasing the finest food and drink from Northern Ireland. We promote the people who produce it and those who serve it in our cafes, restaurants, bars and hotels.
We believe we have world-class ingredients and chefs and we work tirelessly to get that message out near and far.
Whether you're a tourist or a local, you'll want to know that where you choose to eat will deliver on taste, atmosphere, service and value. You can trust that we've checked every single Taste of Ulster establishment. Every member must fulfil strict criteria and be committed to maintaining our charter.
We don't just let anyone in! So whatever county you visit, there's a choice of handpicked places to taste the very best of Ulster.
2013 was an exciting year for Northern Ireland, with the World Police and Fire Games, the G8 Summit and the UK City of Culture celebrations in Derry~Londonderry. Northern Ireland was honoured to host these events and we happily welcomed the visitors they attracted. The strength of our local produce has made an impact on the food experience our visitors can expect in our restaurants, hotels, visitor attractions, cafes, pubs and cookery schools. Our chefs have never had such a well stocked "local larder" at their finger tips. This is reflected in the magic our most talented chefs are able to conjure up on menus.
We also have our Taste of Ulster Guide which promotes approx 145 of our Taste of Ulster members, which has an international reputation and is also widely used and recommended within the province.
‘The Taste of Ulster Guide is one of the most asked for publications here at the Tourist information desk at Belfast City Airport, not only popular with tourists but also with locals and airport staff, who often browse our literature whilst waiting on flight departures & arrivals!’
As Northern Ireland’s premier guide for establishments of excellence dedicated to the use of local produce it’s the best place to be noticed!
