‘Mingle with the Moilies’ is an exciting and unique event within the Molled Cattle Society’s history, taking place on Saturday 4th July 2015 from 10am until 5pm followed by a Members BBQ, Annual General Meeting and entertainment at The Ulster Folk & Transport Museum, Cultra, Co. Down.

The AGM will take place at 7.30pm. it promises to be a day of interest to members, families and cattle enthusiasts alike. The center of the town area of the museum will be transformed into an Irish Moiled spectacular with Irish Moileds everywhere and something for everyone.

Gates open at 10am with a packed itinerary for members throughout the day until midnight including:

  • Judging Workshops    – lead by various Directors
  • Classification    – by Holstein UK’s Michael Parkinson
  • Cattle Classes    – in traditional dress (Entries close 31st May Downaload forms top left corner of this page)
  • Butter Making Demos  – Ulster Folk Museum
  • Farm Safety   – supported by NFU Mutual
  • Cookery Demos – Caoimhe Nic An tSaoir (Scullery Made) and Jeremy Stanley (The Pickled Quince)
  • Preparation Demonstrations – Eamon McGarry Cattle Services
  • Young Handlers Workshop & Classes – lead by Maggie McQuiston & Alison Connolly

We are privileged to have Caoimhe Nic An tSaoir on hand for the day to cook us up a mouth watering Irish Moiled feast of ideas inside the Old Rectory House. Caoimhe will be joined by Jeremy Stanley(aka The Pickled Quince). Jeremy first discovered Irish Moiled beef when he visited Pheasants Hill Farm Shop.
