Members of the Fermanagh Food and Hospitality sector working in conjunction with Fermanagh District Council are staging a festival in order to celebrate the food and waterways around Lough Erne.

The inaugural Festival Lough Erne will take place on Saturday 20th June and Sunday 21st June, this is going to be a great event, with an expected footfall of 6000-7000 over the two days.

Situated on the island town of Enniskillen the inaugural ‘Festival Lough Erne’ will be a feast for the senses. A veritable smorgasbord of colour, taste, music, activity, entertainment, of lingering lunches and Canoe-dling by moonlight.

For two days Giant Hat Tipis and Circus Tents will showcase authentic local foods that tickle the taste buds, while celebrity chefs cook up a storm, sharing the tricks of their trade.

Street performers, jazz bands, art exhibitions, children’s entertainment, water activities and competitions complete the Festival Lough Erne Menu.

Designed to showcase and celebrate the distinctive Fermanagh landscape in new and imaginative ways, the festival will surround the Island town of Enniskillen with as many forms of water transport possible, Cots to Yachts and everything in between. There will be water based activity ‘come try it’ sessions, boat races, and water polo competitions.

Visit Fermanagh on June 20 & 21 2015 and you will get to smell and taste food, buy food, find food on foraging walks, discover new food and food products, Catch food, learn about new ways to cook food, and hear people’s stories about their food.
