Benefits of Membership

Northern Ireland's agri-food products represent some of the highest standards of production and preparation, and they are on a par with the best in the market. But one of the key challenges both small local businesses and large international corporations face is differentiating products from ever-increasing competition.

There is a wealth of research and information that proves local consumers prefer local products. Food Promotion Northern Ireland Ltd (FPNI) has been formed to insure local people know about the quality and taste of local food and drink, that they can identify it easily - and ultimately, that they buy it again and again.

Northern Ireland Good Food is in our Nature allows consumers to identify local foods and foods produced using local ingredients where possible.

A wide range of private sector stakeholders and retailers have already contributed funding which has led to the creation of a high profile, marketing campaign targeting consumers, due to launch in February 2008 and continue for three years.

In addition to this, FPNI is working with public sector organisations in international and tourism markets to enhance the image of NI agri-food and exploit further opportunities.

As part of the initiative, you will benefit from considerable additional leverage, you will profit from considerable collective strength, and you will grow your product's appeal among local consumers.

Whatever size your business is Food Promotion NI affords you the opportunity to be associated with a campaign leveraging over a million pound investment in promotion and to be included in the development of a deservedly high quality reputation for local foods.

Representation across the entire supply chain is already involved in this initiative, a reflection of the passion that the entire industry has to reflect the positive story behind high quality food from Northern Ireland.
